This is the second year I've purchased this basic Trotter design (with annual decoration and color differences). It is a slide sandal with double Velcro-fastened straps that accommodate my changing width due to swelling. The double-straps are cut on each side from a single piece of leather whose entire length is sewn to the sole, preventing the double straps from twisting or moving separately in relationship to each other in a way that makes other slide sandals with independent double straps less stable. This single-piece-of-leather design cradles the little toes so that they don't slip out and get rubbed the wrong way by narrower, less-strategically positioned straps. Its sole is soft, smooth, and comfortable without stitching or bumps and toe bars that can rub. It's also lightweight and stays on the foot, not heavy and clunky and constantly falling off. I think that it's also a very attractive sandal that is durable.
