Thought I Was Wearing Another Shoe

3 out of 4 people found this review helpful.

I wore a pair of these docksider shoes on weekends for about 10 yrs. !!!! No kidding. Whenever the weather was dry to moderate, and I wanted to wear my most comfortable pair of shoes, I would grab this pair. They were so unbelievably lightweight; dried quickly, and durable. I wore them with the heel up; as flip-flops with the heel smashed down; I mashed them into suitcases if need be; sporting events, to the grocery, my morning walk, Saturday errands, emergency room runs, you name it ...whatever worked. I am a busy woman. Well, this year, I decided to buy another pair. I had long forgotten what brand they were, and even thought they were another brand. When I decided to look at the little tab on the outside of the shoe, to make sure I was ordering the same shoe, that's when I saw that the little tab read Sebago. All this time I thought I was wearing .....So, guess what? I am getting two more pairs this time, and I WILL remember that name SEBAGO!!!! and I'll get 10 more good years of comfort and savings.

Same great shoe I wore 30 years ago!

3 out of 3 people found this review helpful.

I have looked everywhere for these shoes....finally found them, and it was worth the wait! I wore Docksides 30 years ago, and they are still a great product. I am on my feet all day at work, my Docksiders have not disappointed me.

Great looking - very stylish!

I was looking for a pair of narrow boat shoes with adjustable ties. Even though the heels could be a bit narrower, they fit great with some heel cushions. Are very comfortable with no socks and look great. I can hardly wait to wear them when we sail.

I love the 80's!

2 out of 3 people found this review helpful.

I had to wear Docksides as part of my high school uniform. That being said, I never imagined that I would ever desire to wear them again. Like everything, they've made a comeback and so they're a must have for me since I'm a true preppy at heart. These shoes were top-of-the-line in the 80's and so I was skeptical that the quality may have changed. When the shoes arrived; however, I was absolutely delighted. The quality and comfort are outstanding. The only change is that the toe box is now round and the old ones were square. As for sizing, I'm either a 7 or a 7.5. Luckily i went for the 7 which are roomy and not snug at all. The larger size definately would have been too big. They come in so many great colors that I'll definitely be buying more.

Looks good but not so comfortable

The red soles attracted me and the shoes look great with jeans. The tongue cuts into the top of my foot. I loosened the ties but that caused the shoe to slip.
