I have been wearing Oboz for years and have only been disappointed by the fact that they have discontinued some styles.

Purchased for bare rock summit scrambles in the Adirondack High peaks wilderness area. Haven't had a chance to test them out on a peak yet, but I have worn them casually. They are comfortable and true to fit and durability. I can tell they will be great for the purpose for which I purchased them. I would highly recommend them!

In person, this shoe looks big and bulky, but it's oh so comfortable. Seems to be a little wider than normal, but will simply wear a thicker sock.

Have not stressed the shoes to be able to comment on durability and secure footing. Why? I am trying to decide if to keep them. They are high around the front of the ankles, specifically where the tongue on the sides meets the fronts of the heel, esp on the inner side. So, my ankles are rubbed on inner and outer sides on both feet. If I don't lace the last grommet, that doesn't happen, but then my feel are not as secure. And/or, I could use moleskin where it rubs. In addition, compared to some other hiking shoes, they are a bit heavier, and also the sole tread is not as large (as say perhaps, Keen). However, tread is larger than Merrell's siren, but the shoe heavier. Toe width is good for my wide foot. Love the look and color, so need to decide if they'll ultimately work for me with the discomfort.
