I like the NB Minimus line for its concept of flexible, flat sole and trim, close-fitting style, but it may not be for everyone. Don't expect the support and clunky, chunky feel and look of a more traditional athletic shoe. Cushioning and support are...well...minimal. It's like going "barefoot with protection." You're going to feel uneven, rocky terrain under your feet, but not painfully so. Minimus are sized to be worn with or without socks, so if you wear heavy, cushioned athletic socks, go up at least a 1/2 size. I have Minimus shoes in both my regular size and a ½ size larger and find my normal size is fine with standard weight athletic socks. As minimal as they may be, there are still some differences in the feel of styles designed for running or for cross-training, so all styles won't feel the same. I wear mine to my casual-dress workplace, at home, and for dog walking at the park. Personally, I love mine and will continue to add to my collection as new Minimus styles and colors become available.
