This is one of the best shoes for me that is on the market. I've had various foot problems after working on my feet all day for years (I'm an RN); plantar fasciitis, Morton's neuroma, over pronation. I talked with several ortho docs who all gave me the same advice: No negative heel shoes (like the work shoes I wore at that time), good arch support and a metatarsal ridge. These shoes have all those things. They go with any casual outfit and come in lots of colors and finishes. They're cute but not too trendy. I have a pair in red, blue jean colored, and a formerly apple green pair that I dyed black when they started to look too dingy. (I've always bought the nubuck). I can wear them all day for shopping, travel tours, cooking, out for casual dining or whatever. Other brands that work for me are Naot and Dansko Professional clogs for work. The only drawback is the leather thong straps stretch after a few years of heavy wear, and you can't tighten them, only the instep strap. But I find that's true with all leather sandals. But I still prefer an all leather/suede upper, footbed and sock lining.
