I originally bought this in my usually size I wear in all my frye boots an 8, well that fit was to tight and the throat of the boot was very hard to get into to. I did get my feet in them but they just felt way to tight until the point it hurt. I exchanged for the size 8.5 and it fits perfect after wearing it only once outside. The throat was a little hard to get into so I wore a thin sock around the house with them. Then after just a few minutes I put in thicker socks and wore them outside in New York City. I need heavy duty boots living in the city I walk every where, these will last a lifetime. I love them!

THESE ARE THE BOOTS FOR ME!

Unlike the previous reviewer, I own a manufacturing / fabrication machine shop and these boots are perfect for me. I'm comfortable in the office and can survive working in the machine shop. They don't slip, they don't tear, the hold up to the wear. These boots are not the heaviest boots I've worn over the years. They are difficult to get on and off during the break in, but after a month of everyother day wear, they fit like a glove and feel like butter. WONDERFUL! And, unlike most boots, I'll still be wearing these in 30 years! Survive the break-in and thrive for life. I love my fryes.

The Perfect Boots for me!

I'm in manufacturing -- These boots take me from the office to the machine shop floor in comfort and safety. They give me something more stylish than my usual Bates Tactical boots. Frey has a great boot although the break in time does take a bit. My Bates are easy on my feet from moment one, but the Frye's will last a lifetime!

Great boots but not for me. Ive never ordered Frye boots before and as soon as I opened the box just thought one thing: WOW. Amazing quality, this is one HEAVY DUTY BOOT. Unfortunately theyre not the right boots for me, so Im going to return them. If you ride a motorcycle and need a tough durable boot thats stylish but not too trendy, give these a try. Theyre solid and made of very thick, tough, good quality leather. I wouldnt recommend these for someone who just wants a pair of boots for everyday wear, theyre very heavy! These will last forever..

I wear a size 8 and I could not even get my foot down into this boot. It looks great but is too small, too narrow and too stiff.
