I wanted a shoe that would be a cross between a walking and outdoor/beach shoe for a future trip. Even though the size seems just a bit long I stayed with the seven (seems that getting a shoe of this type to fit is tricky as this is the second brand and actually the fourth pair i have tried). I like that the interior is lined with neoprene and that there are no snaps or velcro closures. Even though they seem a bit roomy, the strap does tighten and I am able to get a secure fit.

I have a pair of older Chacos similar to this. Although very lightweight,, the materials used for the upper part of the shoe did not look like they would last, especially in the toe area. I was looking for a shoe for travel.
