These boots are extremely comfortable and stylish at the same time. I spend my days teaching students and needed a low heeled boot. I grab these first when getting put together for the day. I would definitely buy them again.

this is the first time I see an Ariat Paddock that comes in WIDE sizes, although the leather top feels lighter than other Ariat I own, I just needed a wide walking shoes -- wide enough to accommodate my toes, tall enough to protect my weak ankles, and elegant enough to walk around town! Yes, I use Ariat paddocks for walking...

I purchased these boots to wear at work. I work at an outdoor living-history museum and every year there is a struggle to find boots that can 1) pass for a 19th century style 2) be comfortable walking or standing in all day long and 3) have a high enough quality that they will withstand the wear and tear of weather, walking, and chores for 7 months out of the year. Though the season has not started yet and they have not been put to too much testing, I can say that the first day I decided to wear them around to get a feel for them, it was like I had owned them already for weeks. Putting them on isn't too bad, there's bending and lacing that takes a bit of effort (the laces are terrible by the way, plan on getting better ones)-- but getting them off is a bit harder, not wanting to unlace them entirely but also being impatient at the end of the day makes one wish they'd just slip off like tennis shoes, haha. Nonetheless, once you put them on they feel like quality boots, the material is very nice, and they feel very comfortable and well-supporting. The day I tested them, I put them on at 10am and I did not get home and take them off until midnight-- not a single blister, sore, or any evidence that these boots were fresh out of the box. Like I said, it was as if I'd owned them for weeks. In the 14 hours that I wore them I was both sitting, standing, and walking constantly-- the walking was still pretty light though, none of the speed walking up and down gravel hills that I have to do at work but still, I think I trust these. I'm going to buy a waterproofing agent for them to hopefully help them withstand all of the water and muck I have to deal with but I expect that this summer will finally be a foot-comfortable one that will leave me with boots to use again next year. These were worth every penny.

I needed a shoe with a good toe box and adequate arch support. I can wear thicker socks and I have plenty room. Looks good with both dress pants and jeans.
