This is a comfortable shoe with a fairly large toe box, and one can stretch the toe box still further by wetting its interior with alcohol and stuffing it until it dries. The wedge soles and rather dull soft black leather make it an informal shoe with a suggestion of cute ballet styling. The elastic becomes quite tight after a few hours, so much so that I had the shoemaker remove two of the straps and lengthen those that remain -- at some expense.
They offer cushioning and (after dealing with the elastic problem) comfort and are much cuter than the oxfords one must often resort to to find comfort and support.
I'd recommend them to someone whose feet never swell.
