Well my foot size is about an 11 or maybe 10.5, so I ordered a size 11. When i got the boots they were very comfortable and had a nice width for the foot (medium), but they were far to long, and i had about an inch from my toe to the end of the boot. My other shoes that i own that are also size 11 have only about 1/4 or at most 1/2 of an inch from my big toe to the end of the boot. Overall I was disappointed with the boots and when i went to return them, the only sizes in stock were 8 and 9. What am I supposed to do now with a boot that is far too long for my foot?
Get on thing absolutely clear. These are not work boots and should not be rated as such. I have bought at least one pair of these boots a year since I was 16 years old. That is more than 20 years of Timberland Classics and they have gotten better only marginally since my first pair. T
These boots are hard on your feet. that can be uncomfortable if you are not used to them. if your have a wider ankle, you will want to buy longer strings if you are going to lace them up all the way. I say 'if' because in my neighborhood you never tie these boots; at least not all the way up the ankle.
But, these boots ad just the right tough to some jeans and a polo. they have the urban flare that spoke to a generation in the 90's and beyond. Timberlands were a message of station and 20 years later they are a part of my style message and with the right anti-stain spray, they will go through anything. They are true AKB's (no definition of the acronym will be provided).
