break in

I thought that after about a month of wearing that the shoe would soften up a bit, but the break-in is taking longer than I expected.

These shoes look durable and very stylish, and I love the dark brown color of the leather with the contrast white stitching and sole. Very attractive shoe. But possibly? The most uncomfortable shoe I've ever worn. And the sizing is correct - it's neither too tight or too loose, but these shoes give me the worst blisters. They may benefit from a break-in period wherein I cover my feet with duct tape first. But that's a lot of effort for shoes. Meanwhile, I bought canvas boat shoes - they're not as sharp-looking, but they don't traumatize my feet.

On Deck or Off, A Great All Around Shoe

I purchased my pair of Docksides for boating, but they are now my usual choice for general weekend wear or casual fridays due to their surprsing level of comfort & smart appearance. As long as the current level quality remains consistent, I will be a repeat customer of this model & brand.

Shoes that fit are hard to fiind

2 out of 2 people found this review helpful.

I have a narrow foot and can never find casual shoes that fit in shoe stores anywhere. I'm retired now and wear casual shoes most of the time. I love Sabagos and I can buy them at Online shoes for a reasonable price and get the size I need.

OK, but with some reservations

Sebago, like so many others, is out-sourcing their products off shore..... these from Dominican Republic. Their decision is probably economically driven and you can see it in the general fit and finish of their Docksiders. While the shoes are "acceptable", that's about it. You cannot hide economic shortcuts. My recommendation is that you buy, but don't expect the quality that Sebago once had mastered.
