Improvement over V5

I run between 40-50 miles per week, and race at least two marathons per week. I really liked the 1260V4. V5 was a major letdown. The 1260V6 is getting back to the level of the V4. The stitching that connects the tongue started unraveling after 30 miles of running. I like the shoes too much to send them back. $7.50 at a local cobbler, and they are better than new. As I have routinely found with my last five pairs of 1260s, there is basically no break in period. I make sure to put around 100 miles on a pair before using in a marathon just too make sure the fit is correct and that there are no defects.

The 1260 has been a very reliable New Balance shoe. This version just seems to have gotten wider in the heel area. Still looks good. I'll be trying heavier Thorlo socks and see if that helps.
