I bought a pair of Annex shoes last fall for hiking and casual wear. I usually take my dog for hikes of 4 - 9 miles on most days. I have found the Annex shoes to be comfortable for hiking and stylish enough for casual wear. They are roomy and the tread style is both effective for hiking and provides a very comfortable base for the shoe. As I get older, I have found that the bottoms of my feet are very sensitive. The Annex are as comfortable as any shoes I own. While I don't wade in the water with them, they have kept my feet dry through puddles and wet grass. They do have a leather upper, so they can be cold or hot at extreme temperatures. But I have other more specialized shoes for those conditions. I liked the first pair so much that I just purchases another pair of a different color.
