I'm required to wear steel toes at my work. For the longest time I wore about 6" boots. It was always painful because they had to be broken in. Even the expensive brands that claim they don't need to be broken in. I've currently been dealing with minor stress fractures in both feet. I think partly due to wearing my last pair too long.
These shoes feel great. I haven't had to break them in. They were comfortable day one. They're heavier than you would assume just by look and size. I'm sure a composite to would make them a little lighter. I did change the insoles in the shoes. I do this with every pair I've purchased though.
I like them so much I'm thinking about buying a second pair. You know how it goes. Something you love eventually has to be replaced and then you can no longer find it. Think of it as planning ahead.
