Bought these for a few reasons. 1 - I needed new work boots, required Comp Toe or Steel Toe. 2 - Wanted a pair of cowboy boots. 3 - Needed motorcycle boots
For the motorcycle (non-cruiser, non-sport, Cafe Style w/ Middle Pegs) - they are comfortable on a ride. I haven't taken them more than 2 hours. Toe is bigger than expected but still fits well under shifter in stock location. Heel lift allows for decent pivot on pegs.
For work - they are comfortable enough to sit in all day. Aren't too "cloggy" when walking and feel safe and strong.
Style - look like cowboy boots when not wearing jeans. Look like work boots when covered.
Fit - I watched videos on how to fit boots like these. Heel lift is about .5 to 1 inch, toes can wiggle, went on with a little effort and had the resounding "thud." The only complaint is they are a little snug on the width. I might have to exchange for an EE
There is not enough comparisons with other style shoes and brands to make an accurate size guess. Some say go a size down, 2 sizes down, same size from your daily shoes. Well, that doesn't help because I'm all over the board with brands. 9.5s in these boots fit "like they should." I wear a size 11.5 (loose but not big with socks) Adidas Samba, a 10.5 (snug fit with soccer socks) Adidas Copa, a 10 Kenneth Cole Reaction dress shoe, 11 in Nike Free Runs, 11.5 in Puma Speed Firm Ground soccer cleats. I hope that helps.
