As noted the shoe ran large. I initially exchanged for a half size smaller, but it was still too large so I exchanged a second time for a full size down. That one feels slightly small, but I think it will be OK after a breaking in period. The half size may have worked if it was a tie shoe, but since it's a monk strap I was still having slippage on the heel and needed the full size smaller. The shoe is beautiful, it looks even better than in the pictures, and seems to be well constructed and durable. Although it's still too early to make a definitive call on durability. But overall the workmanship looks excellent and the style will definitely stand out in a crowd. They're not extremely comfortable out of the box, but I believe with some patience and breaking them in at home they will be fine. I use shoe trees and that will help stretch the leather in a couple of places where it's a little stiff. Great style, but if you're looking for them to feel like slippers from the start they may not be for you.
