I had to exchange them - I'm a true 9 1/2 but they were too small and I went up a 1/2 size which is a good fit.

Sizing:
Feels half size too small
Bottom line:
YES, I would recommend this to a friend

The tongue of this boot is going to take some time getting used to. It doesn't originate from the front of the boot but rather from the side of the boot. It's like a flap that folds over your foot. It's different. The tongue seems out of place but I'll try anything once.
