THESE BOOTS ARE REALLY NICE LOOKING BUT RUN SO LARGE THERE IS NO WAY FOR THE NORMAL FOOT TO GET A FIT. I GAVE THEM FIVE STARS FOR THE QUALITY BUT SOMEONE MADE A BIG MISTAKE ON THE SIZING AND MADE A BOOT FOR A GIANT FOOT.

I ordered these to facilitate getting through security at the airport. Literally the day after I ordered them, I blew out a lumbar disc while trying to lace up my hiking boots. They arrived while I still couldn't bend over well, so the slip on feature was very welcome. I have since used them at work while I was on my feet all day, and have had to traipse through wet, somewhat muddy ground without any difficulty or discomfort at all. So far, they seem waterproof. They don't have a perfect fit, but it's pretty darn close. I haven't been hiking in them yet, but plan to this weekend. I didn't think they were necessarily stylish, but I've had a few people comment on how nice they looked. I guess it shows how much I know about that!

I wear gore boots from the fall, all winter, and into the spring. I resoled my last pair, replaced the footbeds, and kept wearing them until they were practically falling apart. These Carhartt boots feel even more durable than my Clarks, which I wore for years. I can recommend these they seem very durable.
