I require a shoe that is comfortable and durable for walking. These shoes were advertised as heavenly walking shoes. They are not really suited for that as the uppers are very stiff and do not provide much cushion. Simply placing a thick foam insert into a shoe does not make it a good walking shoe. I wear the shoe now for general work around the house, but for walking I wear my Brooks Addiction Walkers. For walking purposes, the Brooks are a much better shoe. For the price, the Apex was a big disappointment.
