I wanted to replace the identical Propet shoe I had been wearing, but didn't see that style anywhere online. This style was similar, so I took a chance and ordered it. It fits every bit as well as the model I was wearing, and looks very nice. I have found the Propet shoes to wear very well, lasting nearly a year with a lot of walking use. I previously had bought an Avia style that wore out after only a few months, with the soles very worn out. I will stick with Propet as long as they last this well, and feel wonderful while walking.

I bought these for my 72 year old father in law who has had two knee replacements, suffers with arthritis, and is pained by calluses on his feet. Most shoes are quite uncomfortable for him, but not these. He loves these shoes for their comfort and the velcro makes it easier for him(no bending to tie laces). The show looks very nice also. It doesn't look like an orthopedic shoe but has the comfort of one. Excellent! Just fyi, The 5E is slightly loose but he is very happy with them and this should allow for feet swelling in the heat and thicker socks in the winter. The 3E was too tight for him.

These shoes have so much support from the removable innersole which has a good arch support. Since it's removable, if you wear custom orthotics, they will fit right in. While the shoes are new I am wearing them as is without my orthotics.

I chose to try these shoes because I am a diabetic and I have arthritis in my feet. Other shoes I've tried cause pain in either the under part of the foot or the over part of the foot. I ordered a double-wide version of this shoe. Between the added width and the fact that it is a very light weight shoe, my pain is almost completely gone. Also, the swelling is a lot less.
