I have been through more hiking boots then I care to say. Every boot I have ever tried has had some negative quality about it. These bots are as close to flawless as I can reasonably expect. Comfort is unmatched, I hike without even thinking about my feet in these. Traction is great. Perfect ratio of cushion to stiffness. The ONLY things I could think of to make them better would be a GORE TEX lining and Vibram rubber so they would last longer.

I debated between these and the Keen Sunriver boots for 3 days. This was a warmer shoe. I liked the draw string for convenience sake, but every time you walked the bottom and top strings kept clunking together and swinging back and forth with each step. They were also a little on the large size. Room for the pairs of sock though. The width was great but around the shaft area there was little room for your pants/jeans. It was a tight fit. This is definitely a more functional shoe and I ended up with something with a little more style.

I bought a half size larger than I usually wear in a keen shoe as I will be wearing socks with them. They were a bight on the tight side with thick socks. Waiting for the half size bigger to arrive. the boot overall looks warm-was warm in my house at least, and had good snow traction. This is definitely not a high style boot but a functional one.

Love this boot but it is too tight at the ankle. Returned for a half size larger. The zipper is a bit sticky as well.

Great hiking boot. They look stylish and are super comfy. I only wish they had made them with that smooth leather lining they use in a lot of their other shoes, instead of just that meshy material. They could breathe better in my opinion... My favorite thing is that they are boots but they come lower than other hiking boots, so they don't hurt my ankles! YAY!
