I've searched and searched for the perfect riding boot- price, color and all! This one fits the bill. The boot is definitely more fitted to the calf than most riding boots, but I actually like it as it makes my lower leg look even slimmer! (It's not tight at all, though). Love the color, will try to not get too dirty but at this rate I wear them every day I love them!

I really like these boots. They're not the classic boot but more of a trendy military look. But not so over-the-top jungle macho type. No giant buckles, no huge wrap-around straps. Just a nicely shaped, good-looking boot. As for the complaints about sizing, I ended up with an 8.5, whereas I usually wear a 9. This is well within the range of "normal" size variation. Re the width, yes, the toe box is roomy, but that's great for people like me who have problem toes and have had foot surgery. They're certainly not "clown shoes," as one reviewer said. And why didn't the others just exchange them for a smaller size? But back to the boot at hand: the color is great (taupe suede), neutral, goes with everything, and has the new "rubbed" look on the toes that seems to be the latest trend. The (medial) inside zipper makes them easy to put on and off, and you never have to fool with the laces or worry about them coming untied. They come about 4 in. up past my ankle, which is a good height, not too tall, not too short, and look good with pants or leggings with/without a skirt. I have definitely enjoyed having them and find that I reach for them often. I sprayed them with suede protective spray because they are light-colored. I do that with all my suede shoes.

These shoes are absolutely fantastic. They were comfortable from the first time I put them on - no break in period necessary. I have worn them to work a few times now and they remain comfortable throughout the day - with or without tights. I have also received at least 2 compliments every time I wear them. I did order mine a 1/2 size larger than what I normally wear because I wanted to wear tights with them. With the narrow toe and the lace-up feature, I think this is a good idea. Overall, LOVE THESE!

Very excited when I pulled these boots out of the box.. High quality construction, REAL leather, sexy styling, easy to put on (unlike so many similar styles). The platform makes them comfortable, so far as heels go, but it would be nice to have more padding on the inside. Also, the leather sole is no good, absolutely no traction and little rocks tend to get stuck in it. These are going to the shoe repair shop pronto! Otherwise, I am quite happy with my purchase. They're exactly what I'd envisioned and I get so many compliments!!

I pulled these beauties out of the box, slipped them on and immediately went for a 40 block walk around Brooklyn - NO BLISTERS! Not even foot pain of any sort! Love love LOVE these boots.
