Not as comfortable as you'd expect
I absolutely love the style of these shoes, but I am disappointed that they're not as comfortable as you would expect for Clarks. The leather around the ankle chafes and the sole isn't padded.

versatile shoe
Overall, I am pleased with this shoe. My first impression was how plain it is - not sure why I didn't notice that from pictures. The shape is interesting, but there are no details. I got the black, and it is matte, waxy leather. There isn't much padding or arch support, but once I added an insert, the shoe is very comfortable and easy to walk in. So far I've worn them with boot-cut cordoroys and a long knit skirt and they fit the bill nicely. The laces that they came with are plain, cheap cotton sneaker-type laces. I might see about getting different laces. I do like the fact that they lace up, to provide a better fit. So the shoe is filling a gap in my wardrobe nicely - it's just not that exciting.

Love me some Clark's!
I was planning to buy a different pair from a different online website but waited too long and that pair sold out. I have been searching far and wide online and in stores for this specific style and color. I never owned a pair of Clark's before and was unsure about size and comfort. Euro sizing is always hard to gadge. I read reviews on other Clark shoes not this pair and decided to get a half size up and I am glad I did. They are comfortable and exactly what I was looking for. My feet are not narrow but not wide either but these had good toe room. Love them!

Great shoe
Nice casual shoe that goes with everything. There's not a lot of cushion in the sole & I would suggest buying 1/2 smaller.
