Love the look of these boots, but sadly I had to
return them. I ordered a size 10, but the boots were
actually a full size too big!

I have both colors of these boots. I first bought the black ones and then soon after I wanted a pair of brown boots. These, thankfully, came in the brown that I wanted. I've had my black ones for about 6 months and they are still beautiful, and are broken in just right.

I am very happy with this purchase! I have wide feet and generally wear a 9 1/2 so I ordered both the 9 and 10 to see which fit best. They came quickly and I put the 9s on first and never even took the 10s out of the box (yay for free returns!), they were so roomy. I think that with some natural stretching as I wear in the boots they might get too roomy, but I didn't want to wait to wear them to re-order in an 8 1/2, I'll just wear thick socks if it ever happens. I like having the zipper for how easy it makes it to take them on and off, and also having the functional laces to adjust the fit tighter or looser. I was wearing these one night when I took a spontaneous hike in rainy/muddy weather and they kept my feet dry and had good traction for not being meant for hiking. One improvement I've wished for is a loop or something on the tongue that I could put the laces through to keep the tongue from sliding sideways when I'm wearing the boots. I also may end up putting in some cushion inserts just to make them even more comfortable for standing around in all day because I don't want to take these boots off! I really love them and love the unique ruffle! This was my first order from shoes.com and I will be making more. Thank you!
