Women's vs Kids sizes

I wear a womens size 6 and I'm debating buying a childrens size 5 to save a few dollars. Does anyone know if the size of boot shaft is smaller for kids shoes? What size would you recommend I purchase? Also my sister wears a 5 or a 5.5 - What size boot would be best for her?

I wear a 7.5 or 8 in women's sizes. I wear a 7 in Uggs. I bought the kid's size 6 and it fits perfect. The only difference is the shaft is about 1.5 inches shorter.

i wear the same size as you, and a childrens' 5 fits me perfect. the boot shaft is a bit smaller ( i believe one inch in diameter), however, if you have "average" size calves, they should fit fine. they also stretch a bit after wearing them. one inch isn't much difference, and if you plan to stuff your jeans in them, you might want to go with the womens' size.........skinny jeans fit fine inside mine.

Women can usually size down 2 whole sizes when converting to grade-school kids' sizes. As a size 5, you could wear a grade-school 3.

I just ordered an 11 for my daughter who normally wears a size 9.5-10 and I almost thought they were too small. I think I'm going to send them back for the 12. I would order your daughter at least a 13. And the good news is you can always send them back for a larger size FOR FREE if they don't fit.

I should have bought two sizes and then just returned the size that didn't fit. THat's what I usually do.
