"Shoes were promptly shipped and ready to go right out of the box since no waterproofing was necessary. Was pretty excited to have new boots since my last ones threw a sole on my last hike in the mountains. To break in my new boots, I wore them around the "inside" of the house for a couple days and then finally wore them on a short hike on level terrain. Boot seems to do well but when I got home I notice that the sole (where it is glued to the leather upper)was "slightly" pulling away. This can only get worse so I am going to return the boots. My search for good boots continues. :("

Pros: Good traction

Cons: durability is suspect

No, I do not recommend this product.

"Although they label these as hiking boots, the only hiking I would ever do in them in across town. The lack proper ankle support for any type of off roading. With that being said, they are pretty darn comfortable and I can wear them all day without overheating (so far, summer isn't here yet)."
