Ask a Question

Shoes.com asked: Why did you choose this?

  • anne: "size availability"
  • Lindy: "Reviews of others who purchased this item convinced me to give them a try."
  • M: "I have some issues with Morton's Neuroma and bunion in my left foot. I enjoy walking long distances, but with the foot issues, I really have to find just the right pair of shoes. It took awhile to find these, but they are great. Very lightweight and breathable, and they make me feel more stable in my stride than other shoes. Well designed for walking, as they say they are. My only complaint is that they were only offered in this bright white or black. Other color choices would be welcome."
  • S: "Good fit"
  • Barbara: "the lacing on this style helps my thin ankle stay in place"
  • Ruth: "I have a pair now and love them"
  • Deborah: "I need to replace my oooooold walking shoes; I wore them out! I have had these over 2 years and wore them any time I didn't have business shoes or exercise shoes (Ryka again!) on."
  • Denise: "Been wearing Ryka for many years. Great fit and good price"
  • Sarah: "A friend I walk with recommended them."
  • W: "I was looking for the Ryka reform but they don't make that anymore. I'm hoping the Ryka rocking arch is what they say and doesn't leave me flat-footed."
  • Gail: "for my friend to wear to work;"
  • Beverly: "I chose these shoes for walking /exercising because they appear to be lightweight and "breathable". Hopefully they are very supportive as well."
  • Joanne: "the brand of shoe fits my feet very well"
  • Karen: "I like the way Ryka shoes fit my feet. And one of the few athletic shoes made especially for women."
  • Joy: "They look like they would be good, support shoes for exercising."
  • Colleen: "Comfortable sneakers - this is my 2nd pair"
  • Carol: "Purchased based on reviews -- Unfortunately too narrow/tight and returned!"
  • K: "for a Christmas present for my mother"
  • V: "I read reviews"
  • Nancy: "After alot of research this shoe (walker) sounds like just what I'm looking for. I walk everyday and my sneakers loose their comfort and support quickly. I like the idea that this shoe was designed by women for women. I expect that I will be satisfied with my purchase. I'll review this item after I've worn it for a while and let you know if it was all it was advertised to be."
  • Elizabeth: "Walking shoes with a good price, like the Ryka brand"
  • Dawn: "I have worn Ryka shoes for 20 years...I wouldn't wear anything else for everyday shoes."
  • S: "Have worn Ryka shoes for many years and need a new pakir"
  • Laraine: "LOVE RYKA SHOES...HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO PURCHASE IN CANADA"
  • Kathleen: "My son had bought a pair for me and I enjoyed them so much. I am in the medical field and on my feet , they are very comfortable. So, I bought another. I rate them 5 stars"
  • Anita: "Thought I'd try these, however they don't work like the Orthoheel... I'll go back to the Orthoheel"
  • Linda: "I currently have a pair. They are fantastic walking sneakers"
  • Christine: "I love Ryka shoes. I'm a nurse and I have been wearing Rykas for years. They are so comfortable, my feet and legs don't get tired at work or anywhere else that I wear them."
  • Elizabeth: "I was looking for a comfortable shoe that will be gentle on my sore achilles tendons. The reviews of this shoe won me over. These shoes are very comfortable."

Connie asked: Why don't you make these in wide sizes any more???????????

Marcia asked: When are you going to offer just the Sport Walker??? Not the Advance.

karen asked: how do you clean them, can you put in washer?

  • Emory: "Well Karen, My wife uses a damp sponge and cleans hers off. For tougher spots she will use a little bleach or the mr clean magic eraser. I have never seen her put them in the washer."
  • Joyce: "I have washed mine and they come on nice and clean but not in the dryer!"
  • Marlene: "I have never found a specific, advertised method of cleaning shoes that have the nylon mesh--and they do get dirty quickly. I have a friend who has shoes similar to these, and she does put them in the washer, and they seem to come out ok. I've just never had the nerve to try it myself. I know she does not put them in the dryer, however. If the shoes are predominately synthetic (not leather) I'd say that would be the determining factor as to whether they will take a machine washing. Sorry I don't have first-hand experience, but I hope this helps anyway."
  • Janice: "Yes, I spray them with Spray and wash and drop them in the washing machine with regular soap. After the washing, I air dry them outside on the deck."
  • Marcia: "I did not keep the Sport Walker Addvance Shoes as not a good fit. Put I have worn many Ryka Shoes and perfer the "Sport Walker" not the advance as to much mesh. Yes, I have put in the washer at times. Please let me know when and where I can obtain the Sport Walker as a much better fit for me."
  • Jeanne: "Remove the insole and throw them in the washer. Let them air dry."
