"Almost all knee high boots are too wide in the calves but these aren't. I agree that they do sag a bit in the ankle but not so much that I wanted to return them. The Lunar Taupe has a weathered look and can go with browns or blacks...very versatile. I will keep my eyes on this brand for narrow shoes. Hope they go fashion forward."

"These shoes are SO sexy! Good quality leather in a gorgeous burgundy color (a nice alternative to brown). The wedges make them much more stable as high heels go, which is important for this toddler mother who still wants to feel like a hot mama every now and then! I'm definitely pleased with this investment and trust that I will get many winters of wear out of these boots. The only issue I have is the same thing I've read in other reviews which is the extremely snug fit when you zip the back zipper to the top. The easy solution is not to zip them in back as they look quite cute left down (this also leaves a little room for wearing them over skinny jeans). Other reviews have complained of slouching and yes there is some slight slouching around the ankles, but it looks very natural, not bulky and awkward like you sometimes see in cheaper quality shoes. All in all these boots are worth the purchase. Look for coupons online and you can get an even better deal like I did. I only paid 201.00 for these awesome kicks. Good luck!"

"I love the Quail boot, it looks good and is stylish. My problem is with the fit for wide shaft. The area where the zip starts at the bottom is a completely different fit from the one below the zip, at exactly that intersection the boot will not budge an inch. So below the zip it fits, above the zip it fits, but in between I am unable to pull the boot completely up so it sags badly. Also, my feet slip a bit in the front which is not that big of a problem, but the sagging is. I have purchased wide shaft Naturalizer before and this is the only one with that type of a fit. I love this style and color, but am very disappointed with the fit. I have to return these shoes, definitely not worth the $200+."
