"These boots are outstanding! I ordered them on sale because I couldn't resist, but I wasn't sure how I'd like the height, and they still weren't cheap. But I love them. The leather is fabulous, as always (I got them in taupe because I have the Nellies in wheat), and the color looks great with jeans or whatever. The top of the boot and the tongue are lined all the way up in soft, padded nylon, so it's very comfy and also slippery so you can easily get your foot in. The insole is cushy, and the arch support is great. The outsole is thick with deep treads, and it definitely offers protection from whatever kind of ground you're on. The laces are the kind that hold a knot well and don't slip, so you may have to exert a little pressure to get them snugged down at first, but then they stay snugged. The top six lacers are the quick type (no hole, just a wrap-around), so they're easier to lace than you might think. It's easy to get your foot in, and then they lace up to just below the knee on me (14" high). I live in very snakey country, so these high-topped boots will definitely increase my sense of safety. As for comfort, YES, very comfortable and supportive, but (something that no one else on shoes.com said, but believe me, it's true) these boots, unlike all my other Timberlands, run exactly one-half size small. I measured them against my size 9 Nellies (the foot part is exactly the same), and my tall 9.5 is exactly the size of the size 9 Timberland Nellies. I had read on another website that these tall ones ran small so I fortunately knew to order one-half size bigger. Lucky for me, that was one of the few sizes they had left! And the 9.5 fit perfectly, just like the 9 in all the other Timberlands I have. I'm not sure why all the other shoe.com reviewers said they were true-to-size. They also seem slightly narrow, like my other Timberlands, but that's perfect for my narrow feet. Definitely recommended!"

"I have never seen this color (winter white) on anyone before so when I bought them, it was a total shot in the dark. The leather is beeeautiful and they are as awesome in person as they look on the website. I like that it has the style of a Timberland boot but also a touch of something different with the light leather. I can't wait to wear them outside as soon as all this snow melts :)))"
