MERRELL Men's Bare Access 2

The Bare Access 2 is a great improvement over the original Bare Access. The original I used as a casual shoe but the new model is all runner. I use the BA 2 for my longer training runs of 10 - 20 miles. The BA 2 definitely has a stiffer sole than the original plus a little more padding and a new tread design. The shoe also has great ventilation and has enough room inside for me to wear 2 pairs of thinner socks when I need too. I put these to the ultimate test a few weekends ago by running 50 miles(19 on a Sat night and 31 on the following Sun morning).

These shoes were horribly uncomfortable at first but heed the recommendation the company makes. Let your feet judge just how quickly you break them in. Don't expect to take them out of the box and run a marathon race cause you'll be sorry! I wouldn't trade them in for anything now. They're broke in and they get allot of comments. "Cool shoes!"
