I bought this for my 4.5 year old. I originally didn't like the toe design, and honestly, it still doesn't look that great...but it's very functional. My son is a very active boy and with the front toe design, it keeps him from stubbing his toes. The quality of the shoe is good. One other thing that was a little annoying, but nothing major, is that he has to unstrap both the top and the back each time to puts on his shoes. I just assumed the back would be adjusted once and then left that way...but it's too hard to get on without unvelcroing it. overall, great shoe for active boys.
