This shoe is perfect for a school that requires a uniform. My son has wide feet, so New Balance has always been my first choice. I was lucky enough this year for my son to stay the same size from September until end of school year. He is 7 and very rough, but these shoes have held up for nine months. These will definitely be my pick every year for a sturdy school shoe.

I love this brand but this shoe runs really big. My son has wide feet but these were even a little wide. We kept them because he loves them but I think I will go with the two strap style next time. The one strap does not seem to give his foot enough support.
