Kalsø Negative Heel Technology
Danish yoga master, Anne Kalsø, designed the unique negative heel that is integrated into the footbed of every Earth footwear style. Featuring a 3.7 degree incline that simulates foot positioning during the Tadasana yoga post, Kalsø Negative Heel Technology® shifts weight over the heels. From this position, walking and standing become anatomically correct. With the added efficiency, the entire body can benefit. Legs and calves experience a toning effect, thighs and stomach muscles become firmer and posture is perfected, leading to better breathing and overall wellbeing.

Technology, Design and Eco-Friendliness
Earth footwear designs men’s and women’s shoes, boots and sandals with the aid of staff including a biomechanist, a yoga instructor, a chiropractor and a podiatrist. In addition to the use of Kalsø Negative Heel Technology®, Earth footwear integrates Gelron2000® material into many styles. Gelron2000®, a memory gel, is located in the footbed of shoes, boots and sandals, and it is designed to form footwear to the customer’s foot for a supportive, customized fit. In addition to comfort technology, Earth Footwear is committed to the use of eco-friendly construction. All Earth shoes are made with durable water-based adhesives and recycled cardboard insole boards. Recycled post-consumer plastic bottles compose the quarter linings of many shoes within the brand’s line.
